Stuck in a big fat rut indeed. Physical, emotional, artistic. Feeling sick, feeling down, tired all the time. Blah blah blah.

31/366 - end of January

I started doing some simple yoga a couple weeks ago. It’s really helping when I have bad back days, so I think it’s something I’ll keep up. Who knows, I might get really good and do some of this crazy stuff (video) one day. Seriously. When can I show off those moves in public?

So January is all said and done with, and I”m pretty proud to say I got in my photo in every day all month! But then February 2nd came and went, with me going to bed at 8pm feeling sick and totally missing my shot. Boo!!! My first, and hopefully only, missed day. A mark against my perfect record, but I’m not giving up!

32/366 - start of February

This week has been something along the lines of “tech week”, starting with my finally getting around to finishing the first Assassin’s Creed and blitzing through the sequel in 3 days. I could go on and on about this game. It definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Plus, I think I’m now a little bit in love with Ezio Auditore. I’m also super ready to play Brotherhood now, bring it on!! Anybody got a copy I can borrow?

Below, two of my favourite pieces of tech: my very much used and abused laptop (splattered with paint and nail polish remover…oops), and my drawing tablet.

About this lovely new console. I’m just going to say a few words and leave it at that. Ace boyfriend. Spoiled. Halo Reach. Bioshock. Portal 2. Aw yeah!!

We’re just going to ignore that this is not technology, and make comments instead on how lovely all that plaid is. Plaid is probably the best thing that ever happened to fashion. Shout out to my Grams for the two things in this photo I can thank her for!

I woke up today with the sunshine streaming through the windows, and it just lit me up. Today was good. I was even inspired by this little piece to start a doodle, which turned into starting a painting. Maybe the universe is finally cutting me a break. Maybe I’ll get a call back about a job. Maybe.
